When I was young before time and money mattered, there were many different careers I wanted to take on. I wanted to be a doctor, a veterinarian, a movie star, and of course a spy. It seems like what I wanted to be when I grew up changed almost every week. However, I soon started to realize that time and money mattered, I had to put my career path into perspective and make my goals for my life realistic. I had to look for motivation to reach my goals, which I found in my parents, but more specifically in my dad. He is a self-made business man, that does not let obstacles stop him from achieving greatness. All his life he made something out of nothing, and when someone said he could not do a task he worked till he proved them wrong.Also, I can not forget about my mom. She is also a very hard working woman. She often displays patience in her line of work when dealing with physicians and the people that work on her team. Watching and listening to my mom work has showed me that one should always display kindness and patience to get a positive outcome. Another beneficial way to show these virtues is by volunteering your time. Giving back to the community that gives so much to you is a great way to show your appreciation towards others.

 

The goals I am trying to achieve in the near future are upholding an excellent GPA, being studious, managing my time well and graduating college with a bachelor’s degree in business and economics. I am going to reach these goals by setting study times for each course that I am enrolled in, having an accountability partner to hold me to my academic goals, and always making an effort to stay ahead on my homework. Within a year or two of attending and graduating a four-year college, I see myself working as an entry level salesman. I have hopes of getting an internship at a drug sales company or for a high- level internet marketer. I would prefer to work at a company that targets children or athletes because I enjoy those subjects. To achieve this goal, I will be keeping myself on track, utilizing the connections I have to get potential interviews and I will seek help from the department of student services, where I can get advice on how to make my resume look appealing and also how to succeed in an interview.
